Clark & Addison present: __________: The Musical! A Two-Person Improvised Musical Based off of audience suggestions, Clark & Addison creates a never-before-seen improvised musical! Come watch this duo play an entire cast of characters who sing, dance and improvise their way through an entire feature-length musical! You fill in the blank, we fill in the rest! Get ready for the opening (and closing) night of _________: The Musical!"

Clark & Addison is Trent Pancy (USA) and Senja Meriläinen (FIN), two performers whose love for Improv is matched only by their love for Musical Theatre. They duo has performed together regularly in Tampere, Finland since 2011 in various forms, including with JadaJada Improv. Together, they have a combined 18 years of improv experience, and 478 years of musical theatre experience from across the globe. They are tickled to be part of Tilt, and can't wait to sing for you!

„Where To Find the Happiness?”

During the show, improvisers, together with the audience will try to find the answer to this good old question – where exactly to find the happiness? They trully hope to find it, during short and a little bit longer stories they are going to create on the stage.

Being brought together by improv coach Raimonds Ruzenieks, they have been a team for almost 6 years now. They are performing once a week, all year long also, doing some additional shows in different cities and places in Latvia and Riga. The participants that are going to the festival will be half from the main Riga Improvisational Theatre team and others are the students of our training studio. Some of the participants has taken The Second City’s classes in Chicago, some has an experience in differrent international improv festivals, for others this is going to be the first time performing and taking workshops abroad. They all play both — long form and short form.

„Bifurkatsioonipunkt”

Bifurcation point is the moment you have to choose one from several paths. Playing with such moments on stage, the Improgrupp Jaa! will tell the audience a story in the course of an hour.

„Director's Cut”

Four directors each try to make a movie on stage. Each of them gets to direct the first scene of their movie and then the audience gets to vote off the movie they don't want to see the end of. The remaining directors continue with their stories, and after every scene a new story is voted off. In the end just one director gets to show the last scene of their movie.

"Det Andre Teatret" or "The Other Theater" is a small venue in Oslo with 180 seats and a little cafe. We host the city´s best improv and have 8—10 shows each week. It´s almost like a real theatre, only funnier.

„Stories”

Katy and Maria use a single word from the audience to discover a rich world of characters and stories through long form improvisation. They like to do slow comedy; making truthful characters that you feel you may have met in your life. They aren't afraid of silence, they like to see what their bodies and their subtle facial expressions are saying. Sometimes that's different to the words. They love comedy, their show may be super funny; but first and foremost they serve truth and try and find real human connections. Stories will unfold. Maybe even songs.

Katy Schutte and Maria Peters have been working together since 2010 with long form group 8-Bit and the improvised musical Music Box. They both have trained at iO Chicago, the birth place of long form improvisation.

MIXER SHOW

Mixer show is an improv performance in which participate actors from all the troupes that performed in the festival. It is an unique chance to see them all together on the stage, and, as far as we know, this will be the first mixer show in Estonia where are so many performers from so many different troupes and countries: Eesti Improteater (EST), Improkraatia (EST), Improgrupp Jaa!(EST), Clark & Addison (FIN), Rīgas Improvizācijas Teātris (LAT), Det Andre Teatret (NOR) ja Katy & Maria (UK). We don't know what is going to happen when all these people get on the stage together but it sure will be fun!

„Give and Get”

Like with all good things in life, it is important to give and to get. How to fully trust your partner but at the same time, also recieve the given things? In this workshop you will learn how to support your partner and make his ideas work during an improv scene. Sometimes we might miss the wonderful presents that are right in front of us. Don’t miss them anymore and learn how to get the magical feeling of supporting your partner and letting him know that he is in safe with you.

„Group Mind”

Learn to work as an ensemble, knowing the minds of your fellow players. Katy and Maria teach a series of games and exercises to help your group move, speak and think as one. We look at finding patterns, listening with your eyes and physically supporting your team.
